Childbirth is a significant life event, and naturally, it comes with a myriad of questions. That’s precisely why our classes are live and interactive, conducted by experienced midwives via Zoom to provide real-time guidance and support. Many women find themselves curious about the stages of labour, exploring pain management options, and seeking insights into the postpartum period. Labour is typically categorized into three phases: the early and active labour phase, the delivery of the baby, and finally, the delivery of the placenta. Pain management techniques vary widely, from natural methods like focused breathing to medical interventions such as epidurals. Our class is designed to comprehensively cover all childbirth options, allowing you to make informed decisions from the comfort of your home. We maintain small class sizes to ensure personalized attention and ample opportunity for you to engage directly with the midwife leading the session.
I don’t have Zoom? How does it work?
Zoom is easily downloaded from your app store, we send you a link that you simply click which allows you to access the meeting.
Can I recording the class?
Due to the online classes being a group environment recorded the class is not allowed. However, we do send out post class information emails that outline all aspects of the class.
Is it required to have my camera on?
Its not required to have your camera on, however it is easier for the midwife to present if the camera is on.
Do I still need to do a face to face class?
The online childbirth class offers comprehensive education on the birthing process, detailing various methods and practices available to modern women. It aims to empower expectant mothers with knowledge and understanding of the choices they have during childbirth, including natural and medical pain relief options, different birthing positions. The class is 2 hours long which we find is enough when learning online. We cover newborn cares and breastfeeding in a separate online class.
Can my partner attend?
Yes. We encourage partners to attend as they are a pivotal part of the transition to parenthood.
